The purchase of property is the biggest investment we are ever likely to make. However many people believe that surveys are prohibitively expensive, some think it’s simply to slow and others think that a Valuation Survey will provide comment on the condition of a property.

The Property Envelope is the single most important element of the building. It protects the occupier and their contents from the weather and has significant implications on the energy performance of a building and the likely expenditure on energy bills.

Burnham Surveying Services Ltd can provide a clear and concise report on the condition of the building envelope, highlighting defects and making recommendations for remedial and maintenance works. In tandem with an EPC this report details actual and potential defects allowing the purchaser to make an informed decision prior to making any long term financial commitment.

The Property Envelope Survey will:

The recommendations will detail areas where no repair is necessary but routine maintenance must be undertaken, where repairs and/or replacements are required and how urgent they maybe and areas where further investigation or immediate attention is required.

Our bespoke, quality assured report can be presented either electronically or by hard copy, normally within a week of commissioning and the on site inspection.
